Interior design by @3FLiving
This renovation in Manhattan’s Upper East Side went well beyond cosmetic updates. It was a full gut remodel that completely rethought how the apartment works, flows, and feels. The client didn’t just want new finishes — they wanted something more intentional, more personal, and completely custom. Working closely with @3FLiving, we rebuilt this space from the inside out, every step guided by that shared vision.
The finished home feels warm and modern, with a custom kitchen, integrated built-ins, subtle HVAC enclosures, and three bathrooms that are both functional and beautiful. Nothing in this space happened by accident, every detail was made to support the way the client lives day to day.
A Kitchen Built to Be Lived In
As a cabinet design company, our first job is to understand how a kitchen is actually used. That thinking shaped this one from the start. The cabinetry is fully custom, made to reflect the client’s style clean, calm, and understated. Everything from the hardware to the finish was chosen with intention.
The layout lets in natural light and keeps movement intuitive. Storage is integrated in ways that feel effortless. The palette is soft and timeless, never trying too hard. You don’t notice the cabinetry at first, and that’s part of the point it supports the design, rather than taking it over.
Our millwork continues throughout the apartment. We built HVAC enclosures and custom storage that match the architecture so closely, they feel like they were always there. For clients who want to buy custom cabinets that are truly tailored to their homes, this is the kind of result we aim to deliver every time.
Bathrooms That Ground the Home
Each of the three bathrooms was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. The master bath makes a big statement with full-height stone slabs from floor to ceiling. The material adds weight and texture to the space without being loud. It feels like a private spa, but without the usual flash.
Getting those slabs into the apartment wasn’t easy. They fit into the building’s elevator with just a fraction of space to spare. Everything had to be timed and measured precisely, from delivery to installation. It’s the kind of challenge we handle quietly because the less you notice the process, the better the result.
Other bathrooms follow the same attention to detail. Just a clear vision, well executed.
Quiet Work Behind the Scenes
Some of the most important parts of a renovation aren’t visible at all. In this case, relocating the toilet in the master bath meant replacing a plumbing line that extended into the apartment below. That required access, approvals, and a very sensitive approach.
The teams worked directly with building staff and neighbors to coordinate the work, protect the existing finishes, and leave everything better than we found it. No drama, just the kind of respectful, detail-oriented work that defines our process.
A Space That Works and Feels Right
Now that it’s finished, this Upper East Side apartment feels calm, open, and complete. The flow is smooth. Materials feel connected. And nothing feels out of place.
From the clean lines of the custom modern cabinets to the quiet strength of the bathrooms, this home reflects what happens when craftsmanship and collaboration come together. For anyone looking for a renovation partner who can handle both the big picture and the smallest details, this project is what we strive to create every time.
